ConnecticutRanked Choice Voting

Campaign Status: Active

The Policy

A Ranked Choice Voting bill that would include some combination of Municipal RCV, Presidential primary RCV, Statewide and congressional election RCV, or Legislative RCV

Background

Ranked Choice Voting has been on the minds of Connecticuters for many years. 2024 will be a “short session” in the state’s legislature, meaning legislator’s can only consider bills submitted to them by the Governor. Both the Governor and the legislative leadership have expressed support for RCV and there is optimism that 2024 could be the year that Connecticuters see movement on RCV.
