sue fothergill is a seasoned political and policy advocate having organized winning advocacy campaigns at the local, state and national level. For the last two decades, she has led campaigns that focus on improving equity and opportunity in public education including winning $1 billion investment in new school construction for Baltimore City public schools (which became a Harvard case study for successful grassroots organizing). sue played a key role in Maryland’s historic campaign to achieve systemic education reform, birth to college and career, with the passage of the Blueprint for Maryland’s Future. She is an experienced policy analyst, organizer and systems builder. She has partnered with community members, government actors, business leaders, educators, families, and young people around the country on creating and implementing innovative solutions to entrenched problems. sue graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Baltimore with a BA in Public Policy.
